Good Samaritan Food Pantry

A food assistance program offered free to residents of Chowchilla who are struggling to make ends meet.

Days & Hours Open:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the 7th Street entrance of Faith Hall
(CLOSED all holidays, and day before and after Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year’s)

Requirements:

Picture ID plus two (2) pieces of mail, showing the same Chowchilla address.

Senior Brown Bag Program

A food assistance program offered to the senior residents of Chowchilla for a small fee that is passed on to the Madera County Food Bank.

Days & Hours Open:

The 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10am-12pm in Faith Hall

Requirements:

Chowchilla residents age 55 and over and $10 every six months.

Senior Lunch Program

A hot lunch provided primarily to Senior Citizens of the community and to anyone else interested in participating.

Days & Hours Open:

12pm-1pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month in Faith Hall.

Donations accepted to offset the cost of the meal.

Community Clothes Closet

Open to everyone. Limit 10 items per family per week.

Days & Hours Open:

Fridays 10am -12pm at the 8th Street entrance with the blue door.
(CLOSED all holidays, and day before Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year’s)

Donations of good clothing and household items accepted by appointment only.

REACH Program (PG&E Emergency Bill Pay Assistance)

Open to everyone. Qualifications based on Salvation Army Reach Program guidelines. Contact the office for details. For more information on this program, click here.
